The Walk the Plank game is an educational and entertaining challenge. Users have to get enough questions correct to force the teacher to walk the plank. The teacher starts at the safe end of the plank. With correct answers, the players rolls the dice and the teacher walks forward. With incorrect answers, the dice roll makes him walk back.
The teacher adds his own comments all the time. At first the teacher is particularly insulting and self-assured. However, once he gets near the edge, the situation changes dramatically. This game provides an intellectual challenge of answering questions together with an exciting concept - forcing a teacher to walk the plank!
The application produces Flash files which can be integrated into a website, an intranet or used directly from any PC. This means a teacher can use their games via a projector, interactive whiteboard or in a computer suite. This product is ideal for starter and plenary sessions - with incredible potential.
The Walk the Plank game can be seen on my SchoolHistory.co.uk site. The player gets 10 questions (randomly chosen from an unlimited maximum number) and tries to force the teacher into the shark-infested water. This possibility is an incredible incentive for students.
