Nice surprise after not having had chance to login for a couple of days! Looks great - like the design - clear and very professional looking!

Glad people like it. I think it is a stroke of genius by the designer to create a mini-animated version of the logo that appears when a post is being updated. That really sets everything off fantastically:
![]() There are a couple of minor improvements I want to see happen though - I think the 'add reply' etc. buttons are a bit too dark and clunky and I don't like the flipped background image of the logo that shows in the background of posts. However, minor issues on what is a fantastic piece of design work #11

Andrew
The buttons are an improvement and I also like the fact that the backgound images are now all facing the same way. But I'm not too sure about the background images more faded from one reply to another! (nit picky I know!!) This post has been edited by Douglas Bell: 28 April 2007 - 07:29 AM #12

But I'm not too sure about the background images more faded from one reply to another! (nit picky I know!!) The reason the images are different is actually extending the concept from the normal look from the forum - there we have background colours on alternate posts. I didn't like the background flipped images plus they were too large. This is the designer's alternative and I think it works well. If the image was the same all the time there would be too much consistency and all the posts would end up looking identical. Now they just alternate from one faded image or a slightly more faded image. In my opinion this is better than before because it is smaller - the old large images meant even a short post could take up loads of space.
