Very much a stop-gap release as I struggle to get the printing function working as well as I'd like to, you can download the Beta version 0.8 now:

As always, make sure you uninstall any previous version of Practice Paper before installing this. I aim to update this version as rapidly as possible, so please do post any feedback in the 0.8 feedback topic.

Indeed it has, I know Andrews been really busy at the moment with other things. He's probably lost track of it.

It shouldn't take him too long to release an update so you can use the Practice Paper Generator soon. (Hopefully!)

Yes - the bane of coursework and exam preparation! Not lost track but rather run out of time. I will upload an update this evening, but it has been really disappointing not to get more completed in time.

I'm afraid I never did have time to complete the update last night - I'll do is as soon as I get home tonight though! Coursework marking and moderation has been a nightmare this year and has taken literally every hour of the day.

Thankfully the end is in sight now Plus the knowledge that I've changed the course now, so we never have to go through this again!

I've now updated version 0.8 to extend the beta time until the end of May. I've gone back to beta 0.8 due to the issues with beta 0.9.

I'm working on all this currently and will have a solution very soon. Apologies for delays. Do please post if there are any issues and I'll do my best to fix them The download is available from the first post in this topic.

there is I'm afraid.

When you go to build your final file html formating text appears over the program screen, when you then run the file it does this again and the question data does not display with the answer appearing as undefined.



I hope the screen grabs explain it better, just when you thought time was more on your side

Oh dear - I must have uploaded the test version - the code you see there is where I was trying to get it working correctly.

I'll work on this tonight to find a proper fix. Apologies!

Coursework now all in the bag so that is all over. If you have a desperate need for a working application, e-mail me the .txt file and I'll get it up and running for you.

I've been looking at the beta versions and I've decided to go back to look at alternative ways of making the program work. I think the rich-text answer boxes (where you can prepare the answers) put too much of a strain on the storage capabilities of Flash - hence why things go wrong.

I can release a stop-gap release, which I'll consider doing later this evening. What I'd prefer to do is spend a few hours coding an alternative solution to release some time tomorrow. My main problem is that I've since developed the working beta release 0.8 on further, so when I went back to re-release it the testing data was produced instead.

I'd rather produce a fix for the issue in beta 0.9 I think.

It is so frustrating to meet with these issues, but it will be worth it in the end. As I've said above, if you have an urgent request, do e-mail me the data and I can put your finished exercise together.
