Hi, just to make sure:

With purchasing the license, only I am permitted to use the purchased program,
but any kind of quiz or game generated with the software can be published and shared with anybody, right?
(e.g., put on a website, sent via email, et cetera).

Hi - you are mostly correct in what you state - but you missed out the 'not for profit' aspect.

The terms of service are all explained on our licences page - see http://www.contentge.../licences.shtml

Quote

The licensing for ContentGenerator.net is straightforward, but this page is provided to offer complete clarity. The programs are designed to be used by teachers and students for free-at-point of access educational use.

The licences for ContentGenerator.net games and applications are not intended for commercial purposes. Should you wish to discuss commercial opportunities please contact us.

Individual licence

Software licensed to one individual. Can be installed on multiple machines (e.g. home computer & school laptop), but is licensed only for the named individual's use.

You are allowed to generate an unlimited number of Flash (.swf) files using the software. Files can be used over a school network, on an intranet or online on a school or personal website.

You are also entitled to full support via the ContentGenerator.net customer forums.

Site licence
Software licensed to school or not-for-profit educational organisation. Can be installed on an unlimited number of machines and can be used by an unlimited number of individuals connected with the school. This means all students and teachers can use the software both at school and at home.

You are allowed to generate an unlimited number of Flash (.swf) files using the software. Files can be used over a school network, on an intranet or online on a school or personal website.

School or organisation entitled to full support via the ContentGenerator.net customer forums.

okay, so I can't upload the files to sites like facebook, because it's not "personal"?

It is fine to upload the files to Facebook - some would say this is more personal than any other site. The key factor in the licencing is that the programs are designed for educational, not-for-profit usage. As long as you aren't charging people to access the games and quizzes it is fine to use them under the standard licences.
