As we continue to update all the programs to 'version 3' (SCORM support - where appropriate, new graphics and additional functionality) I'm delighted to announce that the ContentGenerator.net programs are now officially 'signed' with an valid Authenticode certificate.

This is also part of a new installation routine which is fully customised for ContentGenerator.net using the excellent InstallAware tools. These developments have been a significant investment but one that we feel will continue to improve the quality and usability of the software.

See details about the software here: http://www.installaware.com/studio-features.htm

This is not to say that the current programs are insecure in any way but is more related to the rigmarole required to get programs officially signed for Windows installation. This, we hope, indicates our commitment to quality.

In short, this means when you go to install a program, you no longer get an overly frightening image such as this:

Instead you get a more friendly warning, indicating that the software has been signed by ContentGenerator.net.

You then get our custom installation program that begins with a screen like this:

We will update all the programs to use this new format - which will also allow site licence customers even easier customisation and setup across a school network. I plan to create a site licence installer that will allow you to configure individual programs exactly as required.
