Whilst the spam protection on this forum has done well - no spam has appeared at all recently - we've still had loads of spammers registering and posting topics on this forum. As I've set all new posts to 'automatic moderation' this has meant they haven't become public but rather sat wating for approval.

Unfortunately, it has recently become far too cumbersome to delete each post, ban the member and block the e-mail address. Every single spammer has currently been using the @gmail system.

Thus, as a temporary fix, I've blocked the use of gmail to register an account on this forum. I do apologise to those legitimate users. If gmail is your only address, please do let us know via the contact form (Contact link above) and we'll register an account for you.
